Editorial Standards

Every page published by Skaters NYC must be a substantive article, fit the skateboarding and longboard subject, and remain useful after obsolete website furniture has been removed.

Selection and relevance

We keep interviews, reported event stories, practical guides, cultural essays and historical records. Search pages, tag archives, image-only attachments, store flows, duplicated captures and unrelated guest-post material are excluded. Articles under the editorial word floor do not enter the public collection.

Archive treatment

Old source navigation, share widgets, expired registration prompts and external donor links are removed. Article meaning, named participants, original dates and event context are retained. We do not silently turn an old event announcement into a current invitation.

Images and attribution

Images are shown only when the recovered file is a valid local raster asset. Captions and credits are preserved when they survive in the source article. A missing or invalid image is removed rather than hotlinked from another domain.

Corrections

Readers can report a factual, attribution or formatting problem through the contact page. Confirmed issues are corrected on the affected article and checked across related archive pages.
